Another Busy Day.
I got coffee and toast delivered by Dan this am, so I just lounged in bed with an extra pillow. The coffee was good this time as I finally got him to make it the way I enjoy. The toast, 'nuff said!

Got up around 08.00 after having a quick look at the weekend papers, this is the only time I have to keep in touch with the universe. I do some quick situps then into the shower. Time to get dressed then make our regular breakfast of porridge, toast and marmalade with large mugs of tea. Watch the news on TV then get on with the day.

Our local department store has a three day sale starting tomorrow so after looking through the ads I will trot off there to do some Christmas shopping. Wait, I am a day ahead of myself. Housework. All you ladies out there know just what I mean. Bed making, vacuuming, dish washing, shower cleaning, ironing the list goes on.....

Exhausted about 12.30 had an early lunch then watched the new Ozzie soap called Out of the Blue. It replaced Neighbours on the BBC Channel 1. I am very impressed with the Oz soaps and this is one of the best in a long time. Neighbours moved to UK Channel 5 and BBC put Out of the Blue on at the same time. Well, you never heard such a commotion from all the fans of Neighbours as Channel 5 took the same time spot that used to belong to BBC. After a bit of kerfuffle BBC was forced to change the Out of the Blue time slot to fit in with Channel 5's Neighbours. So at 13.00 on comes Out of the Blue on BBC then at 13.45 on comes Neighbours on Channel5 and all the fans are happy.

After the two soaps, to which I have become addicted, I get on the coat and walk 1 1/2 miles to the surgery. I have an ear infection and Dan has a problem talking to me as my left ear has gone slightly deaf (ideal excuse when I don't want to listen to him) with the stuff I have to put into it or rather that Dan puts into it for me. Now I get it checked out at the surgery. So far so good. It is getting better. Doc also checked my hearing with his 'piano tuner' LOL and since I can hear it in the left ear means it is getting better. Thank goodness. On the way home I stop at the bakery and pick up a loaf and some cream and jelly donuts for our afternoon cuppa. I then stop off at the duck pond to feed some crumbs I have brought with me, for the 'wee coots' as the bigger ducks chase them away, so I shoo off the big ones and out come the wee coots for more crumbs. All that walking is my excuse to get out my weekly Magazine and sit on the bench seat to glance through it. I eventually decide it is time to move so I pack up my things and finish the walk home.

Dan and Stuart are at home working on their computers so I go and put the kettle on. Good job I bought an extra donut. I enjoy my cream and jelly donut (the men do also) then get out the ironing board along with the bundle of clothes from the bedroom. All done by 17.30 so I clear away the stuff and get on with preparing dinner. I write several postcards for the grand children over in NZ and the USA while I wait for the meal to cook. Both countries postcards get put into their seperate envelopes as it is much cheaper to send them all together. Mail in the UK is horrendously expensive for overseas.

Good grief I am getting tired just thinking of what I am writing of my daily grind. Though it's not always this busy. Sometimes I go on strike and take myself off for the day. Other times I go on a window shopping tour and best of all I wander along the promenade on to the beach and wish I had a dog to play with. Ah well such is life.

Eventually I feed the men and myself, clear up the kitchen and, tonight I just feel like reading my book so I check my email then go off to the bedroom for some peace and quiet and leave the men to fight over what programme they will watch on TV.

Another busy day over.
